Ice cream parlors date back to the late 1700s and early 1800s when it was prestigious for upper class citizens to snack on gelato or ice cream from tiny bowl in ice cream shops. By the 1950s, after cars had become available to most households, ice cream parlors were also easier to access, making them destinations for family fun. Thin black metal scrollwork and wooden seats are signature to vintage ice cream parlor chairs. This one has been well used over many decades. Measures 34" high x 14.5" wide and 17.5" seat height.
