An antique steamer trunk was used to corral clothing and personal items for travel on steam ships in the late 1870s through 1920s. Earliest ones were usually round topped, aiding in rain run off, but then manufacturers switched to flat lids for ease of stacking during travel. We offer this beauty complete with original wood strips and two latches. The locking mechanism has been removed for the key has been lost, but the lock itself still fits into place for an authentic appearance. Measures 36" x 22.5" x 21". We are unable to offer shipping on this item. Onsite pick up only please.
